Fast renders faster than real time and writes the file directly: MP4, MKV, WebM and raw .h264 (no converter, no second pass). Keep this tab open and visible while it runs. If your browser cannot do it, the editor switches to Compatible mode by itself. WMV and GIF always use their own method; Compatible mode records in real time and needs the one-time ~30 MB converter for MKV / WMV / H.264.
